What is Matcha?
Matcha tea is grown in Japan using a special process that ensures its unique sweet flavor and wide range of health benefits. Tea leaves are shaded up to a month before harvest, which creates much more chlorophyll responsible for the distinctly green color. Additionally, the plant is more delicate and packed with nutrients and amino acids.
Once they are ripe, the highest quality leaves are hand-picked, steamed, dried, and finally ground into a fine powder known as Matcha. The entire process from planting a seed to harvest can take up to 7 years!
And why is Matcha so special?
Japanese Matcha tea has a wide range of uses. You can prepare not only delicious hot and cold drinks from it, but it is also added to desserts, chocolate, or ice cream, giving them a fresh green color and a light tea flavor.

Matcha has high antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects; it aids in blood formation and reduces blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol levels. Just a universal helper!
